Top Ten Books on my Spring TBR List

Top Ten Tuesday

A weekly feature hosted by The Broke and The Bookish :)

I’m going to begin with 5 books that are being released in Spring 2013, and then list 5 books that I should have read already and that I swear I am going to read soon.  I promise!!!! *pinky swear*

Books To Be Released in Spring 2013

Linked taken pretty girl13 going vintage A Corner of White

Linked by Imogen Howson: Lost twin sisters, mysterious bruises, terrifying visions, and going on the run from the government?? YES PLEASE

Taken by Erin Bowman: A book where all boys disappear when they turn 18? I already have so many questions that I need answered!

Pretty Girl-13 by Liz Coley: I haven’t read a kidnapping book in a long time, and this book really seems like it would be  good one to read!

Going Vintage by Linsey Leavitt: Sounds like the perfect, cute, light read for spring-time :)

A Corner of White y Jaclyn Moriarty: This book just sounds so good! A mix of contemporary and fantasy, with the mention of other worlds and some unexpected kisses, makes me want to read this NOW!

Books I Really Should Have Read Already

Anna and the French Kiss Mara Dyer Fault in Stars love at first sight audrey wait

Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins: Everyone raves about this book, and I need to know what all the fuss is about!!

The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin: I bought this book a little while back, but it has just been left sitting on my shelf unread.  I definitely need to start this one soon!

The Fault In Our Stars by John Green: Please don’t yell at me… I… I just don’t have an excuse…. I haven’t read anything by John Green Yet…. *cowers in fear*

The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith: Again, I’ve heard wonderful things about this book, and it sounds like something I will love.

Audrey, Wait! by Robin Benway: Not an extremely popular book, but I’ve heard The Perpetual Page Turner go on about it quite a bit, and it makes me really want to read it!

  1. Love your lists! I’m excited about all the books you mentioned that are coming out soon(Going Vintage is really cute/fun–one of my new favorite Spring reads, I think). I loved The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight, and the Unbecoming of Mara Dyer was pretty good as well. I also need to read Anna and the French Kiss, The Fault in our Stars(and all the John Green books, except Looking for Alaska, which I read for the first time last week), and Audrey, Wait!. So many books to read!

  2. Audrey, Wait is SO good! It’s seriously underrated – one of my old faves from a while ago :)

I didn’t read Anna until I started blogging and was pressured into it, and I’m so glad I did because I was completely converted haha!

I hope you enjoy them all :)

    Brenna from Esther’s Ever After

  3. Great choices – I also haven’t read Statistical Probability – I tried and failed in December, but I’m going to try again on my honeymoon in July!

Anna is SO wonderful. You’ll love it. So is TFIOS – I was really afraid of reading and not liking it, but it’s pretty amazing. I’m currently getting my whole family into it.

I’m dying to read Going Vintage, I don’t know when I’m going to have time.

Thanks for stopping by my TTT and commenting!

    • I’m just waiting for my hold to come in at the library for Statistical Probability, and then I’ll be giving it a read! And yes, Anna, the book I have yet to read that I think almost every other YA blogger on the planet has read!! I need to read that one, ASAP! Thanks for commenting :)

  4. I just finished reading A Corner of White, and it’s one of the most whimsical, weird, compelling novels I’ve read in a while. I was surprised by how attached I became to it, and I certainly think that’s a point in its favor. My review is coming up soon, so I won’t go into too much detail!

I enjoyed Anna and the French Kiss immensely (though Lola and the Boy Next Door is my favorite from Stephanie). The thing that stands out to me most about this book is that it got my non-reader friend to read! I think that says something about its awesomeness.

Also, you must totally read the Fault in Our Stars. It’s moving, and it made me laugh. John Green’s writing is definitely different from anything out there, and I think you’ll enjoy it.

The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight is SO GOOD. I love that it’s a quick read, but it’s still got some emotional depth and a certain kind of punch to it. Jennifer writes wonderfully, and I totally loved the premise of this book.

    • I can’t wait for your review of A Corner of White, I’m excited to hear what you have to say about it :) And yes… I really do need to get reading some Stephanie Perkins and John Green books…. I can’t believe I haven’t when everyone I know has!! I have the Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight on hold at the library, but it’s taking forever to come in!

  5. Okay so I’ve read The Fault In Our Stars and The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer and I love both of them to bits! I haven’t come across A Corner of White before but overall, I love your list. I want to read all of these so badly! Especially Taken, Linked and The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight .

Here’s my Top Ten Tuesday post!

Sana @ artsy musings of a bibliophile

    P.S. Awesome blog! =D

  6. Going Vintage! I really want to read that one! I have This is What Happy Looks Like, but I really want to read The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight … it looks so good! And you must read The Fault in Our Stars — it’s awesome!

  7. Great list! Reading it made me go back and add a few titles to my tbr pile. The Fault in Our Stars was my first John Green book, and I loved it. I borrowed it from the library, shortly after I ended up buying the John Green boxed set that including TFiOS, Looking for Alaska, Paper Towns, and An Abundance of Katherines. I’m sure you’ll love TFiOS when you get around to it, no need to cower in fear!

    • I’m glad you added some of these to your TBR list!! Also, I’m sure I’ll like TFiOS, I was more cowering in fear because I was afraid of all of the people who have already read John Green!! Thought they might yell at me ahaha
